How much does the GPS tracker cost?

Trackers can be purchased on our Amazon® store. You can choose between the quick-install model and the fixed-install model. You can consult the prices in the price list. Your purchase includes a free one-month subscription to the location service.

How much does the subscription fee for the service cost?

The Balin.app service provides a solution from 4.9€/month per vehicle, all included. The monthly fee includes: the GPS tracking service on the Web platform and App for smartphones (free download), the SIM card with international roaming coverage and unlimited data traffic. You will not have to incur any additional costs, nor will you have to subscribe to mobile phone operators. We take care of everything!

Where can I buy Balin.app GPS trackers?

You can buy Balin trackers online on Amazon®. The different models are available in our official Store on Amazon®. You can reach our online store by clicking on the "BUY" buttons on the website, or directly by doing a search on the Amazon® marketplace.

What are the delivery times?

We rely on Fulfillment by Amazon® to guarantee our customers maximum efficiency and speed in deliveries. To date, it is the fastest solution available on the market, and thanks to this partnership, we ensure our customers a very fast shipping. Delivery times generally vary from 1 to 2 working days from the order.

Do I need to renew my subscription to the service?

Purchased the GPS tracker you can get 1 month of free service. You just have to choose a preferential payment method, after which the subscription to the service will remain active, without you having to worry about renewing from month to month. You can decide to stop the service whenever you want.

Can I try the service for free?

Yes, of course, you can try all the features of the system for free by accessing our free online Demo. You will have virtual vehicles on which you can do all the tests you want to understand how Balin.app works.

Can I cancel my subscription?

Yes, of course, at any time you can independently manage your subscription plan from the specific page of the web portal or the App. There are no constraints or restrictions.

Installation

Is the tracker suitable for any type of vehicle?

Of course, Balin's GPS trackers are compatible with any type of vehicle. They can be installed without problems on heavy vehicles, trucks, lorries, vans, cars, agricultural machinery, and any other type of vehicle.

Who must install the tracker on board the vehicle?

As for the fixed tracker (model FMB920), the installation requires to connect some cables to the power supply of the vehicle. This is a very simple wiring, but we recommend that you contact any trusted auto electrician. By following our installation manual, any auto electrician is able to correctly mount the device in a few minutes.
The tracker with OBD port (model FMB020) is instead suitable for a quick installation in full autonomy. Simply connect the tracker to the OBD diagnostic socket on board the vehicle. Our guides clearly show where to find the OBD socket and how to connect the tracker. This model is designed for autonomous installation, but if desired, it is also possible to contact an auto electrician.

Can i install the GPS tracker by myself?

The Balin service provides the customer with the type of tracker that best suits their specific needs. The Plug&Play version (model FMB020) with OBD port connection allows immediate installation via the respective door on the vehicle. As far as the wired locator is concerned, a basic knowledge of electronics is sufficient. However, we recommend that you contact any auto electrician, who will be able to install the tracker in a few minutes.

Where is the tracker usually installed?

The location where the GPS tracker is placed varies slightly depending on the type of vehicle. It is normally installed inside the vehicle cabin, in an invisible position.

Does the GPS tracker need to be configured?

No, Balin devices are supplied already configured and ready to use, including SIM cards and data traffic. Once you have received the tracker, you will only have to activate it on our website (or via the App) and then you can proceed with the installation. You can also install the tracker right away, and then proceed to activate it. In this case, you will only have to take care to write down (or take a picture and keep it) the data on the device, that is the IMEI code and the serial code. In our guides you will find a wizard to complete everything in a few minutes.

How is the device powered on?

The GPS tracker uses the vehicle's battery as a power source. The trackers are also equipped with an internal battery with backup function.

What is the correct procedure for activating and installing the tracker?

For each model of GPS tracker we have made available a complete and detailed guide of all the steps to be taken to activate and install the tracker correctly.
In general, as soon as the purchased tracker is received, we recommend that you first activate the tracker on the platform (or on the App): just click on the "ACTIVATION" button and follow the simple steps indicated. Once activated, you can proceed with the installation, depending on which model of tracker you have purchased. If you want to install the tracker before activating it, take care to write down (or take a picture and keep it) of the IMEI and serial codes present on the tracker, which will be required to complete the activation.

What do I need to use Balin?

The Balin application aims to help those who manage a fleet of vehicles in carrying out all daily activities, in the easiest and most efficient way possible. For a correct use you simply have to buy one of our locators and mount it on the vehicle, we'll take care of the rest! The SIM card is included in the tracker purchased, and international data traffic is unlimited and included in the monthly subscription fee for the GPS tracking service. You no longer have to worry about anything, just control the vehicles from your PC or smartphone.

Are the SIM and data traffic included?

Yes, the SIM card with international coverage is included in the purchase of the tracker. The monthly subscription fee includes both the use of the SIM and data traffic without limits, without restrictions or other additional costs.

How can I track the vehicles?

The satellite location service is accessible from any device. You can check the vehicles located on the map via our web portal or via the mobile app. You can choose to control your fleet from the comfort of your phone or tablet, or via your PC.

Where can I download the Balin App?

You can download our mobile app for smartphones for free on the major stores (Google Play Store and App Store). Access to the web portal, on the other hand, can be done via the website.

Is the GPS tracking in real time?

Yes. The Balin.app system uses the most advanced satellite geolocation technologies, and this allows us to offer customers a real-time vehicle tracking experience.

Is it possible to check the routes taken by the vehicles?

Certainly. The route history function allows you to check all the distances and stops made by the fleet's vehicles. The storage of historical data complies with all the privacy standards imposed by current legislation. To carry out advanced analyzes on vehicle performance, the Report function is also available, which allows you to check all journeys, stops, driving or parked times.

What should I do if I want to cancel the service?

To ensure maximum transparency towards our customers, a special section has been inserted in the Web portal (and in the App), where the user can cancel the subscription in case he needs to suspend the use of the service. The GPS tracker remains the property of the buyer.

How can I request technical assistance?

Both within the Web portal and in the App there is a support page dedicated to customer assistance. It will be sufficient to send a support ticket describing the problem encountered, and shortly one of our operators will contact you to give you all the necessary help.
